“We keep you in HOT water!”

Hello!

My name is Phil Thielke, the owner and service technician for PT TCB Spa/Hot Tub Service, an independent spa/hot tub repair service with no affiliation or ties to any retailer or outlet. As a matter of fact, I will work on spas those companies won't even come look at!

Let me give you a little background. I was hired as the service manager for Hot Spring Spas of Middle Tennessee in September 1996. This was my introduction to spa/hot tub service.

At this store we sold only Hot Spring and Tiger River spas and that is all I worked on for 6 years. That store changed hands in 1998 and eventually closed in 2000. Pool and Spa Depot in Hickory Hollow picked up the Hot Spring franchise. I was hired as a service technician because I was the only one around familiar with the product.

It was during my three years at Pool and Spa Depot that I began to service other brands, including Jacuzzi, Sundance, Nordic and Streamline. During this time is when I was seriously considering going out as an independent. I saw the niche, but was reluctant to take the step.

In October 2003 my friend, Dennis Croteau, moved from Hot Springs Spas of the Upper Cumberland (Crossville) to Lebanon to fill the franchise void for Hot Spring and Tiger River Spas. Dennis and I had known each other professionally for a number of years and he persuaded me to leave Pool and Spa Depot to work with him at his store, Hot Spring Spas of Music City. I was there a year before deciding the time was right to make the move and start my own service business.

In October 2004 I left with Dennis' blessing, and became an independent service technician and small business owner. The niche is there! There are literally thousands of spas and hot tubs in the Middle Tennessee area, but not many people servicing them. The large chain stores and outlets will only work on what they sell and, generally, only if it is still under warranty.

I will come look at anything! If I can repair it, I will! If I can't, I'll tell you! I have accumulated a lot of knowledge and experience over the past 12+ years. If I don't know, I have also acquired manufacturer contacts, customer service numbers, and numerous technical support relations. If I need help, I'm not afraid to ask!

Specifically, what I do is, if you have a spa or hot tub, and it quits working, call me and I'll come fix it! I don't sell spas, although I do occasionally run across great deals on used units. I don't have the personnel or equipment to deliver or move them, but I know people who do. I can get you a replacement cover or filters, but I don't sell the chemicals due to the wide variety available on the market.

I have serviced units from Dickson to Cookeville. From Tullahoma to Kentucky where I worked in Hopkinsville, Bowling Green, and Scottsville. I've been to Cumberland Furnace, Lafayette, Hoenwald and Woodbury! I don't mind the travel, but if I think it will be too far, I'll let you know!
